An Analysis of Poland's Regional Potential in the Context of the Aggregates Market Analiza potencjału regionalnego Polski w kontekście rynku kruszyw

For one of Poland’s largest aggregate producers, the PMR team conducted a comprehensive market analysis broken down by province. The project aimed to identify the regions with the greatest growth potential, enabling the client to optimize its investment and logistics strategies.

The goal of the project was to provide insights into the regional diversity of the Polish aggregates market. The client gained detailed insights that enabled better planning of development strategies and investments, with the goal of maximizing market share while minimizing logistics costs. This analysis served as the foundation for making informed business decisions and building a competitive advantage in the dynamic construction sector.

Project Details

As part of the project, PMR analyzed and forecasted nearly 300 time series—about 20 for each province. Each indicator was closely linked to the aggregates market and reflected the scale of the market’s potential in a given region. This provided an in-depth understanding of local conditions, trends, and growth opportunities.

These indicators were then used to develop PMR’s proprietary attractiveness index. This tool, based on a proven linear ordering method, objectively aggregates large datasets into a single indicator that directly answers the question of where the aggregate market’s potential is greatest. As a result, the client received clear and comparable results for all regions of Poland.
