Data centre construction market in Poland 2026
Market analysis and development forecasts for 2026-2035
The Polish data center sector is rapidly entering a new phase of development, becoming one of the fastest-growing segments of the country’s digital infrastructure. According to our latest analyses and strategic forecasts, the cumulative value of investments related to the construction of data centers between 2019 and 2025 has reached 5 billion PLN. But this is just the beginning. A wave of projects related to artificial intelligence and cloud computing is redefining the market, presenting investors with both enormous commercial opportunities and complex infrastructure and energy challenges.
– We are seeing a structural shift toward projects with very high power density. For market participants, this means they must completely reevaluate their existing strategies.

The growth of the Polish data center sector is driven by a number of macroeconomic and structural competitive advantages relative to the rest of Central and Eastern Europe.
– In many locations, it is precisely the limited availability of connection capacity that is increasingly prolonging investment processes and affecting the pace of new project implementation. At the same time, rising energy costs and the need to improve the energy efficiency of facilities mean that power supply issues are now becoming one of the key elements of the entire sector’s development strategy.

The scale of the upcoming challenges is well illustrated by data from Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne (PSE). As early as 2024, new data centers reported an electricity demand of 0.6 TWh. However, PSE forecasts indicate very rapid growth in demand in the coming years—up to 17.4 TWh in 2036 and as much as 29.4 TWh in 2040. This represents a manifold increase in energy demand over a relatively short period, which could significantly impact both the location of new investments and the pace of growth for the entire market.
This press release is based on the report “The Data Center Construction Market in Poland 2026–2035.” The report provides a detailed breakdown of investment costs, including expenditures on shell & core, mechanical and electrical installations, and a unique list of general contractors along with a database of planned projects.
