LUX MED: Medical Marijuana Clinic

The LUX MED Group, one of the largest private healthcare companies in Poland, announced the launch of a clinic specializing in medical marijuana treatment. It will be located in Warsaw.

Medical marijuana has been legal since 2017.

Medicinal cannabis products and extracts became legal in Poland thanks to regulations enacted in 2017. However, they did not appear on the Polish market until January 2019. Medical cannabis can be used, among other things, to treat chronic pain, neurological diseases, mental health disorders, and sleep problems, as well as cancer. Cannabis alleviates pain, improves sleep, and enhances overall quality of life. In Poland, the target group of patients in need of medical cannabis therapy numbers approximately 300,000 people.

The medical marijuana clinic launched by LUX MED will be located at the Group’s hospital on Puławska Street in Warsaw. It is scheduled to open in April. It is intended to offer support to patients for whom standard forms of pharmacological treatment have not produced the expected results. The clinic will provide personalized treatment plans, monitoring of treatment progress, and access to a doctor between appointments.
