Retail market of home appliances, electronics and digital media in Poland 2026
Market analysis and development forecasts for 2026-2031

The year 2024 brought stability to the electronics market in Poland, although Poles’ purchasing decisions were more conservative. The value of the consumer electronics, home appliances, and electronic equipment market exceeded 44 billion zlotys, representing a slight increase of 0.3% compared to the previous year. Despite this stagnation, experts predict that 2025 could be a turning point for this sector. Consumer optimism and an improving economic situation could drive significant market growth.
In 2024, as many as 84% of Poles purchased products in the consumer electronics, home appliances, or consumer electronics categories. Although this demonstrates a continued interest in technology, 2025 is expected to bring real change. Improved consumer sentiment, along with stabilization in the housing market, are expected to encourage Poles to make larger investments in modern appliances.

Consumer electronics, including smartwatches, drones, electric scooters, and electronic accessories, accounted for one-third of the market value in 2024. Increased mobility and interest in modern solutions, such as the IoT (Internet of Things), continue to drive this segment. This trend reflects the changing lifestyles of Poles and their growing openness to innovation.
Specialty retail chains remain the key distribution channel for electronics, accounting for 47% of sales in 2024. These stores are expanding their offerings to include new product categories, enabling one-stop shopping. At the same time, grocery discount stores are gaining an increasingly larger share of the small household appliances market—15% of consumers made purchases at these types of stores.
Before making a purchase decision, Poles pay particular attention to detailed technical descriptions of products (79%) and their price (71%). An attractive price remains one of the most important factors in competitiveness. Despite this, private-label brands still raise some concerns—32% of consumers avoided products bearing such labels out of concern for their quality.

Experts predict that in 2025, the electronics market will rebound thanks to Poles’ greater willingness to invest in modern equipment. Improved consumer sentiment and economic stability will play a key role in this process. In addition, innovative products and a variety of sales channels could significantly accelerate this growth, making 2025 a breakthrough year for the electronics market in Poland.
