Dentistry services market in Poland 2026
Market analysis and development forecasts for 2026-2031
The results of the latest PMR survey showed that 56% of Poles used dental services in 2023. In the coming years, consumer behavior will have a positive impact on this market, particularly in the area of orthodontics. Nearly one in five patients would like to get braces to improve the appearance of their teeth.
Between 2020 and 2023, the orthodontic services market accounted for approximately 12% of the dental services market in Poland and grew at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 11%, according to data from PMR’s latest report, “The Dental Services Market in Poland 2024.”
The dental services market in Poland is growing steadily, and according to our forecasts, its compound annual growth rate (CAGR) for 2024–2029 will reach nearly 9%. A PMR survey shows that 8 out of 10 people who use dental services in Poland believe that healthy and attractive teeth contribute to physical attractiveness and facilitate social interactions, and nearly half say that this is a sign of affluence. Nevertheless, the high (and rising) cost of dental care, stress associated with visits (dental anxiety), and long wait times for appointments are just a few examples of factors that contribute to a negative perception of dentistry in Poland from the patient’s perspective. On the other hand, underfunding of services by the National Health Fund (NFZ), high costs of maintaining dental facilities, and rising wages are the challenges faced by businesses operating in this market.
The results of a PMR survey from February 2024 showed that 44% of Poles did not use dental services last year. Looking at the gender of dental patients, women use dental services more often than men. This is not a big surprise—generally, this is a trend seen in nearly all areas of health care.
Health awareness, and consequently a higher percentage of people using dental services, is most pronounced among those in their prime working years (ages 35–54) and among those with higher education, which may also correlate with higher incomes.

Explanation: Based on a representative sample of 2,220 Poles aged 18 and older. The percentage of adult Poles who, in 2023, used dental services at least once for themselves and/or their children under the age of 18.

The data presented here is taken from the PMR report: “The Dental Services Market in Poland 2024: Market Analysis and Growth Forecasts for 2024–2029,” for which, in February 2024, PMR conducted a consumer survey on a nationwide quota-based random sample of 2,220 adult Poles, who were asked about their use of specific medical services. A total of n=1,318 Poles responded to the set of questions regarding dental services. The survey was conducted using the CAWI (Computer-Assisted Web Interview) method.
