Cloud computing market in Poland 2026
Market analysis and development forecasts for 2026-2031
Cloud computing has become one of the key pillars of digital transformation for businesses in Poland. Our latest analysis, included in the report “The Cloud Computing Market in Poland,” shows that 90% of large companies in the country already use cloud computing, and most businesses plan to further increase their spending in this area. The dynamic development of infrastructure, the expansion of global providers, and the growing demand for modern applications mean that the market is maintaining double-digit growth and remains one of the fastest-growing technology segments in our country.
According to an expert analysis, the adoption rate of cloud technologies among large enterprises in Poland is already very high. By 2026, 90% of large companies will be using cloud-based data processing, and in the years that follow, this percentage will approach 100%. At the same time, companies are not only implementing cloud solutions but also expanding the scale of their use.
– We are seeing a clear phase of market maturation. For most large organizations, the cloud is no longer a technological experiment but a fundamental component of IT infrastructure and the development of new digital services. Companies are expanding their use of the cloud by migrating more applications and business processes to it. Our research shows that by 2026, 64% of large companies and 67% of SMEs plan to increase their spending on these technologies, confirming that the market remains in a phase of rapid growth.

This trend is also part of a broader digital transformation strategy in Europe. According to the “Road to the Digital Decade” agenda, by 2030 at least 75% of businesses in the European Union should be using cloud-based technologies.
A key driver of this market’s growth in Poland has been the expansion of global cloud service providers and the development of cloud regions and data centers. At the same time, infrastructure investments are accompanied by the development of a broad technology ecosystem—including educational programs, initiatives promoting cloud adoption, and support for technology partners and integrators.
The role of the cloud is also growing in the context of business risk management. Amid rising economic uncertainty and geopolitical tensions, companies are increasingly adopting such solutions as part of their strategy to enhance operational resilience. Factors such as potential tariffs, supply chain disruptions, and general geopolitical instability make flexible IT infrastructure an important tool for companies to ensure business continuity.
– As cloud technologies grow in popularity, controlling the costs associated with their use is becoming an increasingly significant challenge for businesses. One of the most frequently cited issues is the still-low level of maturity of FinOps processes—that is, the management of spending on cloud environments. Globally, the average cloud budget overrun last year was 17%, and our analyses show that a similar trend is also evident in Poland.

According to data collected by our analysts in 2025, 54% of SMEs and 49% of large companies spent more on the cloud than their budgets allowed, while 38% of SMEs and 39% of large companies stayed within their planned budgets. Only 8% of SMEs and 12% of large companies spent less than planned. Notably, 6% of large companies and 3% of SMEs exceeded their budgets by more than 20%.
As a result, companies are devoting increasing attention not only to the implementations themselves, but also to cost optimization and building expertise in managing cloud environments.

The most commonly chosen infrastructure model today is the hybrid approach, which combines on-premises resources with the public cloud. This solution allows companies to maintain control over their most sensitive data while taking advantage of the flexibility of the public cloud. Currently, 38% of large companies in Poland use this solution, while 15% of companies are testing this approach, and about one-fifth of companies are considering implementing it.
The service distribution model also plays a significant role in the market’s development. The partner channel remains the most important sales channel for public cloud services; according to a study, it accounted for 61% of the market value in 2025. Global providers are developing extensive partner ecosystems, within which technology companies, system integrators, and IT service providers support customers in designing and implementing solutions tailored to their needs.
These networks are very large—for example, Microsoft’s partner network in Poland includes more than 7,500 companies, which play a significant role in the company’s operations in the domestic market.
In the coming years, the cloud market in Europe will also be shaped by issues related to data sovereignty and regulatory compliance. Initiatives aimed at developing European cloud infrastructure, such as the Gaia-X and IPCEI CIS projects—in which Polish companies and organizations are also participating—are gaining in importance. At the same time, the introduction of a European sovereign cloud certification has been under consideration for several years; this certification would support governments and businesses in selecting secure and trusted cloud service providers.
– The cloud market in Poland is currently growing very rapidly and is increasingly becoming a strategic tool for supporting the development of services and the scaling of business operations. Our forecasts indicate that the PaaS segment will grow the fastest, particularly among large enterprises that invest in their own development teams and AI-based solutions. In this context, the use of reliable market data becomes crucial—not only for monitoring trends, but above all for making informed investment decisions and building a competitive advantage. Companies that want to maximize the potential of the cloud should not only focus on technology implementations but also on developing expertise in cloud strategy and cost management.
