Cybersecurity market in Poland 2026
Market analysis and development forecasts for 2026-2031
After three years of dynamic double-digit growth, the cybersecurity solutions market experienced trends related to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020; however, despite initial pessimistic forecasts and concerns among vendors, both the ICT market as a whole, as well as the cybersecurity industry, emerged from the pandemic unscathed.
According to PMR’s latest report, “The Cybersecurity Market in Poland 2021. Market Analysis and Growth Forecasts for 2022–2026,” indicates that 2021–2022 will see a return to double-digit growth in cybersecurity spending in Poland. Next year, the market value will clearly exceed 2 billion PLN.

Overall, the pandemic is undoubtedly the issue that has dominated the economic situation across the country, affecting the ICT market as well as its individual segments, including the cybersecurity market. As it turned out, the forced digital transformation of companies—or rather, its key elements, led by the massive shift to remote work—benefited cloud providers, data centers, telecommunications operators, and connectivity providers, including VPN service providers. Securing dispersed corporate resources—often used in a hybrid model and accessible remotely—became a matter of paramount importance. The year 2021 generally brought a market rebound. Moreover, in some areas, growth not seen in a long time was evident, and customer demand was limited in some cases only by supply shortages and disrupted supply chains.

Large companies remain the primary customers of the IT sector in Poland, and their share of the total cybersecurity market in 2021 was 58%.
When it comes to spending by specific industries, the leaders in the B2B segment—as is the case every year—are banks and financial institutions, as well as the telecommunications sector, where the nature of their business necessitates investments in cybersecurity.
For telecommunications operators, upgrades and investments in new IT systems, as well as the integration of existing resources, had a positive impact on the revenues of cybersecurity solution providers serving this sector. In addition, 2021 saw significant spending by VOD and multimedia content providers, which are experiencing rapid growth in Poland.
More and more companies are considering the use of cloud solutions and remote work as long-term strategies, no longer viewing cybersecurity as an obstacle to such changes. However, as cloud adoption grows, companies will increasingly rely on IaaS solutions from the largest public cloud providers, which may reduce their budgets for traditional cybersecurity solutions while boosting sales to data centers and the largest hyperscalers. The growing popularity of cloud-based application security solutions and the delivery of applications as a service is expected to make them more accessible to a greater number of organizations.
When it comes to risks, the Polish market differs only slightly from global trends in this regard. This is primarily because Polish companies do not operate in a vacuum, and large entities in particular are most often affiliated with companies outside of Poland.
In the coming years, applications, services, and platforms will require close protection, and organizations will have to face the growing risk of external attacks closely linked to the rising popularity of cloud environments, as well as remote work and remote access to resources.
